Probe into the killing of 32 civilians in the Assam's Bodo-majority districts was handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday as 22 people were arrested in connection with the violence.
Announcing that the state government had decided to hand over the case to the NIA, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said, "We have decided to hand over the probe to the NIA. Some people are demanding a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) probe over the violence. But CBI has some limitations.
