Whaley Bridge evacuated as dam wall in 'critical' condition

Emergency services were desperately evacuating people from Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire last night (August 1).

Torrential downpours have damaged the wall of the local dam putting residents lives in danger according to authorities.

Responders are risking their lives with only seconds to flee should the dam break.
