Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad told the press on Sunday that the Government had chosen to side with expert opinion instead of popular opinion regarding Lynas Malaysia.
His remark comes after anti-Lynas protestors slammed the government's U-turn in allowing an operating licence extension for the rare earth company at a rally.
