New Photos Show Asteroid Ryugu is Bizarrely Dust-Free

JAXA’s Hayabusa2 spacecraft sent hopping lander MASCOT down to Ryugu in October 2018, and newly-released photos from it reveal not only that the asteroid is oddly free of dust, but that rocks on its surface are similar to ones found on Earth.
