The revolutionary Bhagat Singh, who hangs on the lips by keeping the lyrics of Mera Rang De Basanti Chola, hangs in our hearts. The government of the country does not consider Bhagat Singh a martyr. But, every person in the country owes their martyrdom. Born on 28 September 1907 in the Doab district of Punjab, Pakistan, Bhagat Singh died at the age of 23 for the independence of the country.

मेरा रंग दे बसंती चोला के बोल होठों पर रखकर देश के लिए फांसी पर झूलने वाले क्रांतिकारी भगत सिंह हमारे दिलों में बसते हैं। देश की सरकार भगत सिंह को शहीद नहीं मानती। लेकिन, देश का हर शख्स उनकी शहादत का कर्ज़दार है। 28 सितंबर 1907 को पाकिस्तान के पंजाब के दोआब जिले में जन्मे भगत सिंह ने महज़ 23 साल की उम्र में देश की आजादी के लिए शहादत दी।
