Powerful Typhoon Hagibis slams into Japan

Typhoon Hagibis crashed into Japan on October 12, 2019, bringing potentially record-breaking rain and high winds. The powerful storm killed at least one man and destroyed more than 36,000 homes in Chiba. 1.6 million people have been told to evacuation. The storm has forced the cancellation of two Rugby World Cup matches and paralysed transportation.
