Months of fires in Siberia, Russia have scorched area larger than Greece

Fires that have been burning in Siberia since January had scorched a total area larger than the size of Greece as of July 20, 2020. The flames, which have intensified because of record-high heatwaves, have ravaged forests, fields and steppes in the Russian province.
