The Dewan Jubli Intan Sultan Ibrahim in Pontian, Johor roared after Election Commission returning officer Zulkifli Mohd Tahir declared Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng the winner of the Tanjung Piai by-election. Dr Wee’s closest rival Karmaine Sardini was not present during the announcement.
