Shaheen Bagh shooter joins BJP

Kapil Gurjar, the young man who opened fire near the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protest site in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh almost a year ago, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Kapil Gurjar, also known as Kapil Baisla, was welcomed into the party by Ghaziabad BJP officials. After taking the political plunge, Gurjar said that he decided to join the BJP because the party works for Hindutva.
