Record-breaking downpour hammers larger parts of NSW

As the weather system moved south, Greater Sydney came under a sustained attack throughout the day with intense, heavy downpours of more than 90 millimetres and gusty winds. Residents in Picton have been told to prepare to evacuate last night.
