India reports highest single-day spike of 2021 with 43,846 new Covid-19 cases

India reported a new highest infections tally of 2021 on March 21 with 43,846 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the total toll to 1,15,99,130. Union Health Ministry reported 22,956 recoveries in the last 24 hours. With new numbers, total recoveries reached 1,11,30,288. Currently, there are 3,09,087 active cases in the country. With 197 new deaths due to the coronavirus, the death toll stood at 1,59,755.
