దేశంలో కరోనా మహమ్మారి మరోసారి విజృంభిస్తుండగా, వైరస్ విరుగుడు కోసం తయారైన వ్యాక్సిన్ల వాడకానికి సంబంధించి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం సంచలన ప్రకటన చేసింది. కొవిషీల్డ్ టీకా తొలి డోసుకు, రెండో డోసుకు మధ్య గ్యాప్ ను ఆరు నుంచి ఎనిమిది వారాలకు పెంచాలంటూ కేంద్రం ఆదేశాలిచ్చింది. ఇన్నాళ్లూ కొవిషీల్డ్ వ్యాక్సిన్ మొదటి, రెండో డోసుకు మధ్య కేవలం నాలుగు వారాల గ్యాప్ కొనసాగుతుండగా, ఇప్పుడా గడువును దాదాపు రెట్టింపు చేయాలని కేంద్రం పేర్కొంది.
