A state funeral for fashion designer Carla Zampatti is being held this morning at St Mary's cathedral in Sydney.

Former Governor-General Dame Quentin Bryce will speak at the funeral, which will be live-streamed and open to the public. Zampatti died at age 78 after falling on stairs at an outdoor opera event in Sydney last month.
