NSW records 172 new local cases as apartment block enters lockdown

After a month of sacrifice by the residents of Sydney, the COVID emergency seems to be going from bad to worse. There are 172 new cases - that's another record. More than a third of those had been out and about while infectious. The focus for officials is now shifting from Fairfield to areas further north.
