After India's relentless pressure, the United Kingdom announced changes in its travel and quarantine rules and recognised the made-in-India Covishield as a Covid-19 vaccine. This came amid a growing row over the UK not recognising the Covishield vaccine.
However, the new rules would not allow Indians with Covishield vaccine to skip UK's quarantine.
