Victorian Government adopts new approach to dealing with sex offences.

The Victorian Government will change the way the justice system deals with sex offences, in response to recommendations from the Victorian Law Reform Commission. The Government will adopt a model known as affirmative consent, meaning the focus is on the accused person confirming they've received consent, rather than scrutinising the behaviour of the victim.
