Environment Agency fell trees at a woodland site near Hythe much to the anger of those nearby.

The EA say work at Mill Leese in Saltwood is essential as the reservoir there acts as a flood storage area to prevent flooding in the town.

Though the owner of Saltwood Castle had previously refused entry to the land, the EA applied for a warrant through the court to gain access.
