Calls for tougher punishment as coronavirus assaults on Kent Police officers rise

There's been a surge in the number of people spitting and coughing at emergency workers during the pandemic.

The new figures show cases have soared by almost a third.

Kent Police is now calling once again for tougher sentences - saying the force won't hesitate to use the full force of the law against offenders as Kristina Curtis has been finding out.
