New Traffic regulations came into effect today for drivers using the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, via Freeport, Caroni and Chase village between the hours of 6-9am.
Many have criticized the move on social media describing it as an inconvenience and calling for different measures for taxi drivers.
However the Transport Minister says too many PH and H car drivers had been using the shoulder and creating a bottleneck, and this had to be stopped.
