Hospital director Dr Deepak Namjoshi told PTI that Lahiri was admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But on Tuesday, his health deteriorated and his family called a doctor to visit his house. After which he was brought to the hospital but his life could not be saved. He was under the supervision of doctors at Breach Candy Hospital.

अस्पताल के निदेशक डॉ दीपक नामजोशी ने पीटीआई को बताया लाहिरी को एक महीने के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था और सोमवार को उन्हें छुट्टी दे दी गई थी. लेकिन मंगलवार को उनकी तबीयत बिगड़ गई और उनके परिवार ने एक डॉक्टर को उनके घर आने के लिए बुलाया. जिसके बाद उन्हें अस्पताल लाया गया लेकिन उनकी जान नहीं बच सकी. वे ब्रीच कैंडी अस्पताल में डॉक्टर्स की निगरानी में थे.
