Karnataka: Arson, protests in Shivamogga after 23-yr-old Bajrang Dal activist's murder

Tensions have erupted in Karnataka's Shivamogga after the murder of a 23-year-old Bajrang Dal activist on Sunday night. Several protests were staged on Monday after the murder came to the fore. There were a few incidents of arson and stone-pelting in Shivamogga. Bikes were torched and stones were pelted at houses and commercial establishments. Following the murder of the Bajrang Dal activist in Shivamogga, Section 144 was imposed in the district.
