Abandoned due to war, donkeys in Cyprus fend for themselves

Donkeys in northern Cyprus have proliferated after they were abandoned by owners when the country split in two in 1974. The animals were once fixtures of Cypriot households but they were gradually replaced by tractors in the 1960s & 1970s.
