Thousands of NSW nurses and midwives begin strike action

Nurses and midwives across NSW are on strike for 24 hours - walking out for a second time in as many weeks. The Nurses Union and state government have been at loggerheads over calls for nurse to patient ratios in hospitals and a better pay deal.
