Social legislation lacking from Marcos’ first SONA – historian

Historian and professor Leloy Claudio points out that while President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed progressive stances on several social issues during the campaign period such as divorce and abortion, these were absent in his first State of the Nation Address.
