The UK’s first Edge innovation lab opens in Manchester’s MediaCity

The UK’s first Edge innovation lab by Vodafone has been opened at MediaCity’s HOST in Manchester.

As part of the plan to turn Manchester into a Northern digital powerhouse and stimulate greater economic diversity in the area, the lab aims to encourage businesses to come down to see and test the possibilities of the next generation in network technology – Multi-access Edge Compute (MEC).

We went down on opening day to see the space for ourselves, get a glimpse of new cutting edge technology and speak to people involved.
