Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has accused former Police Commissioner Gary Griffith of changing the policy on Firearms Users Licences on his own to give people assault weapons and an endless supply of ammunition.
All of this, the prime minister says unknown to the government.
At a PNM public meeting, in St James Dr Rowley urged people not to vote for Griffith's NTA in the local Government Elections.
