Flooding threat across state’s east has begun to ease

The rains have eased in Victoria’s east and flood alerts have also been downgraded. But emergency authorities say Gippsland is not out of the woods yet with warnings some homes in sale and surrounding areas could still be inundated. For towns where the waters have receded, attention is turning to recovery.
