Hundreds dead as Congo River basin deluged by floods

The rising waters of the Congo River have claimed nearly 300 lives and affected 300,000 households in the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to authorities. Water levels are the highest in over 60 years and entire neighborhoods in the city of Kinshasa are submerged.
