During World War II, the Walt Disney Studios produced propaganda and instructional shorts for the United States and other Allied countries. Made for the National Film Board of Canada, The Thrifty Pig is a remake of the 1933 Disney short Three Little Pigs. Released a few weeks before the U.S. entered the war, it debuted in Canadian theaters on November 19, 1941.
