The National Security Minister told the Senate today that a total of 56 illegal weapons and 5,844 rounds of illegal ammunition were seized by law enforcement at this country's legal ports of entry from 2018 to May of this year.
He also provided the Senate with the amount of illegal guns and ammunition seized by the Trinidad and Tobaigo Police Service for a similar period.
The Minister was responding to a question posed to him by an Independent Senator.
