Early sakura bloom attracts tourists in Tokyo
An early-flowering variety of cherry blossoms are in bloom at Tokyo's Ueno Park on March 13, 2025 drawing crowds of delighted spectators. Many locals and tourists posed for photographs under the trees covered in pink and white flowers. The cherry blossom season was set to kick off on March 21 in Tokyo, local media quoted private weather company Weathernews as reporting last week. Warm weather in late March is also expected to accelerate blooming activity across Japan.
