A woman has rescued a shark tangled in fishing rope using only her bare hands.
Charity Clark, 43, was paddleboarding near Big Pine Key, Florida, when she spotted the trapped shark upside down and motionless.
Instinctively, she jumped in and carefully unwrapped the rope from the animal’s body.
Charity believes the shark was in a trance-like tonic state, allowing her to act safely. “I wasn’t scared, just focused,” she said.
After freeing it, the shark swam away unharmed. Charity and friend Cassie Bailey captured the moment, which they shared on Instagram at @dash.of.adventure and @wildthornbaileys.
