11 जून 2025 को अहमदाबाद एयरपोर्ट पर एक दर्दनाक हादसा हुआ, जब एयर इंडिया का बोइंग 787 ड्रीमलाइनर टेकऑफ के महज 2 मिनट बाद ही दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया। फ्लाइट लंदन जा रही थी, जिसमें 242 लोग सवार थे। हादसे में 100+ लोगों की मौत की पुष्टि हो चुकी है।
सिविल अस्पताल में घायलों का इलाज जारी है और O-Negative ब्लड की भारी कमी के चलते डोनर्स से अपील की गई है। सरकार ने हेल्पलाइन नंबर भी जारी कर दिए हैं:
