Chris Woakes (38), Brydon Carse (22) and Josh Tongue (11) scored crucial runs with the bat as England were bundled out for 465 runs in response to Team India's 471 in the first innings. With the ball, Jasprit Bumrah claimed his 14th five-wicket haul in Tests. Prasidh Krishna took three wickets for the visitors before tea. In the final session, KL Rahul's unbeaten 47 runs and debutant Sai Sudharsan's 30 helped Team India reach 90/2 in 23.5 overs at stumps on Day 3. The visitors are leading by 96 runs.
