The federal government helped revive the securitization market through the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility, better known as TALF. Now, the government is considering measures to gain more control over the market and make it more transparent. Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP's Stephen Kudenholdt favors regulation that would help ensure asset quality.
