Intense heat continues unabated in India's northern Allahabad city of Uttar Pradesh. Parents are saying it's too hot for their children to go to school.

With the mercury hovering around 115 degrees Fahrenheit, locals and school children are having a tough time under the sizzling heat.

"We are getting ill and we are getting prone to diarrhea, getting pimples on our face and even getting infected. Schools should be closed."

People venturing outdoors cover their faces with scarves, using sunscreen and carry umbrellas.

At least 30 people have reportedly succumbed to the heat across the country this year.
