Lindsay Lohan wishes her father would "shut up"

Lindsay Lohan has spoken out about her estranged father, who often makes public comments about her, and says that: "I just wish he would shut up".

The actress is frustrated that her dad, Michael Lohan, is talking about her to the press.

Lindsay was arrested in 2007 for drink driving, reckless driving and driving under the influence of cocaine and has to attend court-ordered alcohol education classes as part of her probation.

The Mean Girls actress has recently been ordered to appear at a probation hearing after reportedly missing some classes but she says: "I've been in compliance more than ever. It would take me about two and a half weeks to be finished completely, so I think it should go well."

Lohan is due at the Cannes film festival to announce her latest starring role in a film about the life of Deep Throat porn star Linda Lovelace.
