Rio lights up world's largest floating Christmas tree

A crowd of thousands gathered in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday for the lighting of the world’s largest floating Christmas tree. The 85-meter (278-foot) tree in the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon was adorned with more than three million lights and 1,600 decorations. Organizers hope some 2.5 million visitors will come to see the 520-tonne tree, which is in the Guinness World Records.Duration: 00:44
