And now we move to the Arabian Peninsula, where Yemeni protesters clashed violently with government forces on Thursday. Activists say 84 protesters are wounded. Let's take a look.

Yemeni security forces used live fire and tear gas on Thursday on protesters calling for an end to the rule of President Ali Abdullah Saleh. According to activists, at least 84 demonstrators have been wounded.

Protesters in Taiz say 80 people were wounded there and four were reported wounded in the capital Sanaa. State media made no mention of the incidents.

A government website says there had been marches in many cities in support of Saleh and his offers of political reforms. These include an offer not to run for reelection in 2013.

In Taiz pro- and anti-government demonstrators were seen in stone-throwing skirmishes but anti-government activists said their protesters had not used force.

Yemen, an Arabian Peninsula State that neighbors Saudi Arabia, has been hit by weeks of protests trying to shake loose Saleh's 32-year grip on power.
