What is Finpecia?
Finpecia is a generic form of the active drug Finasteride (often known by its brand name of finpecia). Finpecia is marketed by the drug company Cipla which is located in India. The generic drug is primarily used for treating male pattern baldness which occurs on the crown of the head and mid area of the scalp. Finpecia will only promote hair growth in these areas. Currently, Finpecia is the only drug which is approved by the FDA for treating male pattern baldness. It may also be used as a treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate).
