Over the weekend, Apple opened up its first official store in Hong Kong. Customers from the city and the Mainland flocked to the building. Let's take a look.

Saturday marked the grand opening of Apple's first store in Hong Kong. Some diehard fans waited for as long as two days in front of the building to be the first ones in.

Staff cheered and welcomed people into the two-story glass building in the popular International Financial Center mall.

Three hundred staff members were hired for this store. Many customers hope it will mean improved service.

[Stanley Yuen, Local Graphic Designer]:
"I have been waiting for this Apple Store to open for a long time. I visited an Apple Store in Australia and found that their service was quite good. I have been hoping to see an improvement in the Apple support service here because I had some bad experiences before."

This is Apple's sixth store in China. On Friday, the largest Apple Store in China was opened in Shanghai, but that didn't stop mainland Chinese from visiting the Hong Kong store.

[Windy Meng-xue Yang, Mainland Customer]:
"Of course I am a die-hard Apple fan. I use the iPhone, computer and iPad. Apple has very high quality products and their technology is the world leader in the industry."

As with the rest of the world, Apple is immensely popular in Hong Kong. On top of the official Apple store, over 100 authorized resellers in Hong Kong alone offer Apple products.

Head of retail at Apple, Ron Johnson plans to launch a total of 25 stores in China by February 2012.
