A convoy of trucks and motorcycles arrive at Arlington National Cemetery Saturday to deliver more than 100,000 holiday wreaths which will be placed by volunteers at the grave sites of fallen American soldiers.
Along the way, the convoy stopped at community events from Maine to Maryland.
Volunteers placed the wreaths.
The Arlington wreath laying ceremony was started 20 years ago by Morrill Worcester. Maine. As the event has grown over the year, Worcester and his wife launched "Wreaths Across America" Day.
This year they donated 25,000 wreaths, and another 300,000 wreaths were paid for by donations.
Wreath-laying ceremonies will take place at more than 500 locations across the U.S. Saturday.
