Jerusalem Merchants Demand Justice - Stop Putting Us In Cage

Israel's capital city is under construction. Downtown Jerusalem has turned into a mass of ditches, public transport has been reduced and shops along the city's Jaffa Street have been fenced in. In the height of summer when tourism is at is peak the Jerusalem municipality gave the relevant authorities permission to construct the light rail system. Angry city merchans protested on Monday demanding a halt to the construction, and demanded the muncipality sit down and discuss the situation and work with the merchants instead of against them.08/12/08
