The London based newspaper Al Hayat reported Tuesday that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbasplans to hold the elections for the president's office and the Palestinian Legislative Council in April 2009.According to the report Abbas has decided not to run for another term at the end of his tenure on January 9 and has decided to hand over the position to the next elected president. 12/16/08
