Hours after the two American hikers were released from two years imprisonment in Iran, it was revealed that 29 year old Josh Fattal's father is Israeli and he visited Israel numerous times. Throughout the period he was incarcerated along with Shane Bauer, 29 , media worldwide held back from mentioning his connections to Israel. Now with the two back on American soil, the details were finally released for publication. Fattal's father Yaakov said his son Josh's release was the best present he could have received for Rosh Hashana. Yaakov was born in Iraq and immigrated to Israel and then immigrated to the United States. 29, has relatives in Israel. The three were arrested on trumped up charges of allegedly spying on behalf of the U.S. and Israel, after they reportedly crossed into Iran.
