Explosions in Syria as EU imposes sanctions

Reports of violence in Homs -- even as the European Union imposed sanctions on the wife and mother of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Reuters cannot independently verify this video which was uploaded to a social media website. Activists say the opposition has fired at least 24 mortar rounds at the city.

Other video, reportedly shot earlier in the week shows tanks maneuvering through Hamma.

The EU decision to impose sanctions comes the day after more than 40 people died in clashes across Syria.
