The president of Indonesia is visiting Beijing to further national relations with the Chinese regime. China is currently Indonesia's second largest trading partner, second only to Japan. The heads of state also plan to cooperate on drug trafficking, tourism, and maritime relations. Here's more.

On Friday (March 23) the President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono met with Chinese President Hu Jintao in Beijing. President Yudhoyono went to Beijing to strengthen economic ties and increase cooperation with the Chinese regime. China is currently Indonesia's second largest trading partner after Japan, and trade between the two countries is only increasing. The heads of state signed six memorandums, creating an estimated $17.4-billion in trade between the two countries. The documents also dealt with drug trafficking, sea agreements, a new weather station, and tourism between the two countries. Beijing is but one stop on President Yudhoyono's tour through Asia. He leaves for Hong Kong on Saturday and then heads to Seoul on Sunday.
