Blinds serve multiple purposes in a room - keeping the sunlight out, decoration, and others, For one community college, they came in handy for a unique reason.

38-year old Thomas Molina was charged with burglary after he was caught breaking into Central New Mexico Community College and was caught in the blinds while trying to escape.

Central New Mexico Community College is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

As per the police reports, Molina was going after computer hardware. When the cops got to the scene, he attempted to run away but 'got caught in the blinds'. He is being held on $10,000 bond.

In a similar case involving not-so-smart criminals, Steven Richard King attempted to rob a Bank of America branch unarmed. He tried to use his finger and thumb to mimic a gun, but forgot to leave his hand in his pocket!

CNN covered the report in which an individual tried to rob a deli in Arkansas using hot dog tongs. Apparently, noone took him seriously.

A couple of other not so bright crooks in Colombia are under arrest after one of them forgot to log out of their Facebook account at an internet café before getting away.
