The European Union and the United States have condemned an attack on the UK embassy in Iran.
The EU Foreign Policy chief called the storming of the compound by protesters totally unacceptable.
Iranian police used tear gas to break up the crowds at the site in Tehran, but some protesters managed to enter the compound several times.
They said they were angry about the British government's decision to impose sanctions on Iran.
