"If you get arrested for DUI, I would make that your second call. Once you get out of jail or get release to someone, your second call need to be to an attorney -- such as myself.
The reason is because the clock is ticking. There are certain things that you have to do to defend your DUI. You have to submit or send in a request for a driver's license hearing within those 10 days. A lot of people wait a week or two before they contact their attorney because their court dates are sometimes set out a week or two. Then they go and contact the attorney after that and by that time it's difficult to get them their driver's license hearing because you have to send in that request within 10 days to get the hearing to try and save your driver's license from being suspended.
